Comfortable Rooms in Edinburgh
The flat is situated in a quiet residential street in Morningside. The area is well served with a variety of good coffee shops and restaurants, supermarkets including Waitrose and M & S plus a variety of interesting independent retailers.
BUS
Bus stops with good routes to Princes Street and other areas of the city are a two minute walk from the flat. The city centre is about 15 minute bus ride as is the castle, Royal Mile and other main attractions.
There is a frequent bus service from Edinburgh city centre; Lothian buses 5, 11, 15, 15A,16 and 23 serve Morningside. The stop is Church Hill, just after The Church Hill Theatre. The road opposite the bus stop is Albert Terrace. If you walk past the terrace of houses with the stork statues on the roof,10a is situated on the left - look for the long wooden fence.
Alexanders Rooms is the side entrance with the green painted porch.
Bus drivers don't give change - single is £1.30 and day ticket £3.20.
TRAIN
If arriving by train, Haymarket Station is slightly closer than Waverley. From Haymarket, walk to Lothian Road and the bus routes detailed above will bring you here. From Waverely, the number 5 from North Bridge is the closest stop or the others depart from farther along Princes Street. A taxi from either station is about £8.
AIRPORT
A taxi from Edinburgh Airport costs approximately £20. A bus service runs regulalry from the airport to the city centre.
THEATRES
The Traverse, King's and Lyceum Theatres and the Usher Hall are within walking distance or a short bus ride away. The Churchill Theatre is round the corner.The Festival Theatre, The Queens Hall and The Playhouse are a slightly longer bus ride away but with good services almost door to door.
